Generative Fiction Workshop

A six-week generative workshop for fiction writers. Like all Poetry Field School classes, this fiction-writing workshop explores story writing at the syllabic level and proceeds along the lines of an advanced studio course. Students will follow six fiction writing prompts and share their responses with the class, giving and getting feedback from their peers.

Instructor Bio:

Chloe Watlington is a writer and editor based in Los Angeles. She has taught at the Poetic Research Bureau, La Escuelita, the LARB publishing workshop, and runs programming for communist summer camps. She was the managing editor of the LARB, co-founded Commune Magazine, and ran a collective print shop for many years. She has published fiction, journalism, long-form essays, and is revising a novel for publication.
